UAE Aid and Emirates Red Crescent Distribute Ramadan Food Parcels to 4,000 Bangladeshi Families

UAE Aid and Emirates Red Crescent deliver food packages to nearly 4,000 underprivileged families across Bangladesh during Ramadan.

Based on an official announcement by Dhaka Tribune.

UAE Aid and the Emirates Red Crescent have distributed Ramadan food parcels to nearly 4,000 underprivileged families across multiple districts in Bangladesh, providing essential supplies for iftar meal preparation during the holy month.

The initiative reflects the UAE Government's humanitarian commitment to supporting vulnerable communities globally. The distribution reinforces longstanding cooperation between the United Arab Emirates and Bangladesh, with the programme designed to ease financial burdens on disadvantaged households during Ramadan.

Each beneficiary family received approximately 24 kilograms of food items necessary for household consumption throughout the month. Rashed Mohammed Naser Almail Alzaabi, director of the Foreign Aid Department at the UAE Embassy in Dhaka, visited distribution sites and engaged with beneficiary families and local organisers to oversee the programme's implementation. He stated: "Ramadan is a time of compassion, generosity, and solidarity with those in need. Through this initiative, the UAE Government and the Emirates Red Crescent aim to stand beside the people of Bangladesh and help ease the burden on vulnerable families during this blessed month."
