Shamima Begum has been appointed President of the Bangladesh Organization for Learning and Development (BOLD), effective April 1, 2026. She succeeds Hamidul Mishbah, who transitions to Founding Trustee Board Member.
Begum brings extensive experience in the learning and development sector since 2010. As a founding trustee of BOLD, she has trained and mentored professionals across project management, operational excellence and change management disciplines. She previously served as President of the PMI Bangladesh Chapter, where she established the Project Management Excellence Award and a mentor-mentee programme. Begum also held the presidency of the Rotary Club of Dhaka Hatirjheel.
In her new role, Begum will collaborate with the board of trustees to implement BOLD's strategic objectives and advance learning, leadership development and professional capacity building initiatives across Bangladesh.
