Based on an official announcement by The Daily Star.
Prime Bank PLC has launched the Prime Bank National School Cricket 2025–26 tournament under Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) supervision, engaging 350 schools across all 64 districts with over 8,500 young cricketers.
The tournament represents Prime Bank's decade-long commitment to grassroots cricket development in Bangladesh. The bank recognises school cricket as essential to the sport's overall growth, with several national-level cricketers having progressed through similar platforms.
The tournament will span 651 matches, beginning with district-level games from April 10, followed by divisional and national stages. M. Nazeem A. Choudhury, additional managing director of Prime Bank PLC, attended the press conference and jersey unveiling ceremony at the BCB Media Centre in Dhaka alongside Habibul Bashar Suman (former national captain and chief selector), Najmul Hossain Shanto (national Test captain), and Towhid Hridoy (national team player).
