Garibook Expands 'Khushir Ticket' Initiative for Eid Travel

Garibook launches expanded free travel campaign for underprivileged workers returning home during Eid-ul-Fitr.

Garibook has announced the expansion of its 'Khushir Ticket' campaign for Eid-ul-Fitr 2026, providing free transportation to economically disadvantaged workers across Bangladesh. The initiative will operate two air-conditioned Coaster buses on the Dhaka–Netrokona and Dhaka–Saidpur routes, enabling 60 passengers to travel home at no cost.

The campaign addresses a critical social challenge: many migrant workers in urban areas, such as rickshaw pullers and daily wage labourers, cannot afford homeward travel during Eid despite strong familial obligations. Financial pressures during Ramadan and elevated fares force many workers to either forego holiday visits or resort to unsafe travel methods, including overcrowded vehicles and unauthorised transport modes.

Garibook introduced the 'Khushir Ticket' initiative last year, successfully facilitating travel for 30 underprivileged individuals. This year's expansion to 60 beneficiaries represents a doubling of capacity, reflecting increased demand and the company's commitment to supporting vulnerable populations. The initiative ensures safe, dignified travel experiences, with full accommodation and amenities provided throughout the journey. By enabling workers to return home safely during the festive season, the campaign strengthens community bonds while promoting responsible corporate social responsibility practices within Bangladesh's transportation sector.
