The French Embassy in Bangladesh hosted a higher education promotion session at the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) on 12 April 2026, led by Ambassador Jean-Marc Séré-Charlet.
AIUB, a leading private university in Bangladesh, welcomed the delegation to strengthen bilateral educational ties and expose students to academic opportunities in France. The visit included interactions with university leadership, faculty, and students, along with a campus tour.
Syeda Naasiba Hossain, country head of Campus France Bangladesh, conducted a session covering the French education system, academic programmes, tuition fees, scholarships, and living costs. Baptiste Lebret, cultural attaché at the French Embassy, accompanied the ambassador. The delegation met with AIUB's founder board member Ishtiaque Abedin, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Saiful Islam, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman, Registrar Group Captain (Retd) Dr. Mohammad Zahidul Islam Khan, and Proctor Prof. Dr. Manzur H. Khan. The ambassador emphasized France's commitment to international academic collaboration during the visit.
