Based on an official announcement by TBS News.
The Election Commission (EC) has designated 10 officials across Bangladesh's administrative regions to receive information and complaints related to the forthcoming national election and referendum.
The appointments, announced on 6 January 2026, enable citizens to lodge grievances and seek clarification on electoral procedures through designated points of contact in each region. This decentralized approach aims to streamline complaint management during the election period.
Salahuddin Ahmed (Deputy Director, EC Secretariat) oversees Khulna; Mohammad Nurul Hasan Bhuiyan (Deputy Director, Election Training Institute) manages Faridpur; and Mohammad Murad Uddin Hawladar (Senior Assistant Secretary) handles Mymensingh. Additional officials serve Barishal, Sylhet, Dhaka, Rangpur, Chattogram, Rajshahi, and Cumilla regions. Each official has been provided with dedicated mobile numbers and email addresses for public contact.
