The Consular Corps in Bangladesh (CCB) has elected Nasreen Fatema Awal, honorary consul general of Mongolia, as president for the 2026–2027 term.
The CCB represents the diplomatic and consular missions operating within Bangladesh, serving as a platform for cooperation among honorary consulates and promoting diplomatic engagement in the country. The newly elected leadership committed to strengthening institutional coordination among member missions.
The election took place at the CCB's annual general meeting held at Lamda Hall of Gulshan Club in Dhaka on 6 April. Reshadur Rahman (Poland) assumes the role of immediate past president, while Shahab Sattar (Cyprus) and Shakhawat Hossain (Portugal) serve as vice presidents. Kazi Shah Muzakker Ahmadul Hoque Ishmam (Croatia) was appointed secretary general, and Masud Jamil Khan (Ireland) as treasurer. The nine-member executive committee also includes representatives from Greece, Vanuatu, Laos, Uruguay, and Eswatini.
