East West University (EWU) organised an orientation programme for approximately 2,200 newly admitted students of the Summer Semester 2026 at its Aftabnagar campus in Dhaka on 17 May 2026.
The university's orientation sessions introduced students to its academic environment, code of conduct, campus facilities, and scholarship opportunities. EWU Board of Trustees Chairperson and former Bangladesh Bank Governor Mohammed Farashuddin attended the programme alongside Vice-Chancellor Shams Rahman, Pro-Vice Chancellor Ashik Mosaddik, and faculty leadership.
Sessions featured successful alumni and industry representatives who shared professional experiences and guided students on ethical values, leadership development, and communication skills. Speakers emphasised the importance of continuous learning to prepare students for a competitive, technology-driven world.
